Faculty Advisor: Mr. Stephen Waite, Rm. 406

This club will study military history and leadership from ancient time through to the modern era. We will study the Roman Empire, the Middle Ages, the French and Indian War, American Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, Civil War, World War I and II, Korean War, and Vietnam War to name just a few. Students will analyze why and how the wars were fought, key political and military leaders, advancements in weapons, tactics and technology, and the results of the wars. The club will utilize maps, film clips, books, such as The Art of War by Sun Tzu, and magazines to analyze conflicts. Students will also use military strategy board games, as well as chess, in order to experience the decisions military and political leaders were faced with throughout history. Students will attempt to walk in the footsteps of political and military leaders and bring history to life.
